Dr. Franklin Maldonado is the Firm’s founder. He oversees the Firm’s business law and litigation practice. Dr. Maldonado Leon represents individuals and corporations in the public and private sectors in various business transactions and complex commercial litigation cases. Clients include public and private corporations, pharmaceuticals, government entities, independent business owners, partnerships and limited liability companies.
He has handled complex arbitration and general litigation matters on behalf of international clients. Dr. Maldonado Leon has developed a distinct reputation for effective, high-stakes litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex cases involving breach of contract, intellectual property and general business disputes.
Dr. Maldonado Leon successfully defended Ecuador’s ex vice-president Alberto Dahik, after 18 years of litigation, a case that has been transcendental to Ecuador’s political history.
