We help our clients determine the best forms of intellectual property protection to employ, if any, to meet their business needs. We assist clients in registering their trademarks, patents and copyrights at Ecuador’s Intellectual Property Office, the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property. We also counsel clients on infringement and enforce their rights through cease and desist letters, oppositions and in some instances criminal procedures. In addition, we ensure that our clients are well-stocked with complete sets of important agreements to protect their IP portfolios, including nondisclosure agreements, licensing and franchising agreements, joint venture agreements or agreements for purposes of acquiring intellectual property from third parties, including necessary due diligence and IP portfolio valuation.
